Log home kits

Log, beam, rafter and dry-in packages with everything cut to fit, plus the plans for setting your logs.

Beams, posts & mantels

Hand-hewn posts, ceiling beams, stringers and fireplace mantels, cut to your specs.

Custom-cut lumber

Large-dimension timbers, tongue-and-groove, siding, and wood for ceilings and walls. Big jobs and small.

Cut out the middleman

Mill-direct means you deal with the people who cut your logs

Your logs come straight off our mill at mill-direct prices. There's no secondary company and no sales rep in between, just the Bivens family and the crew in the yard.

That's also why customers keep mentioning Jim. He'll size beams for your spans, talk through your floor plan, and help load your truck.

“Jim is the best. Not only was the work great, he served as my design advisor as well.”Timothy F., Google review

Questions

Good to know

Can I build on my own land?

Yes. Our packages are cut to fit your plan and your lot, and they come with plans for setting the logs. Tell us where you're building and how much you want to do yourself, and Jim will walk you through it.

Can you change one of your plans, or draw a custom one?

All of our plans can be customized, and if you don't see one you like, we can help you create a custom kit from scratch. Customers say Jim is a big help with sizing beams for spans and loads.

Which log should I choose?

D-logs (6×8 or 6×12) are round outside and flat inside, for a more conventional interior. Square logs (6×12) lock together with dovetail corners and come planed or hand-hewn. The German chink log shows a crisp chink line between courses. Stop by the yard to see them side by side.

Do I have to buy a whole house?

No. We sell everything from full dry-in packages down to a single hand-hewn mantel, plus beams, posts, tongue-and-groove, siding and large-dimension lumber cut to your specs.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of your package and what's in the yard. Small custom cuts can be quick (one reviewer had their wood the next day), and a full log package is scheduled when you order. Call for a current timeline.

What areas do you serve?

We're in Maryville and work with customers across Blount County and East Tennessee. Pick up at the yard, or ask about getting your package to your site.
